My Unlucky Day

When I was in senior high school, I went to Umbul Sidomukti with my friends. It is located on the slopes of Mount Ungaran, in the right edge of the cliff and Ungup-Ungup Valley.. We gather in front of SMAN 1 Ambarawa’s mosque. We went there by motorcycle. We departed at 11.30 a.m. after we finished our lesson at that day. We still wore our uniform.

It needed about 30 minutes to get there. The road to get there is very bad. It has many holes. It is uphill road. It was the bad obstacle at that time. It was surrounded by many fields. In the middle of our journey, we met a recreation bus. The road is very tight. We stopped in the edge of the road. I almost fell down to the small drain because my friend couldn’t kept his balance in the motorcycle. Luckily, he could keep his balance again. Then we continued our journey to Umbul Sidomukti.

We arrived in Umbul Sidomukti at 12.00 a.m. We swam, tried the adventure games, walked around that place, took pictures, and etc. I brought a camera. I wanted swimming. I set my bag near the swimming pool. Suddenly, a little boy came to me. He kicked my camera and went away. I screamed because my camera fell down to the swimming pool. Then I took it quickly. The camera couldn’t be used. I was confused. My friends told me that it couldn’t be used again. I was sad.

My friends invited me to try the flying fox. It’s about 70 meters high and 110 meters long. I was afraid. But when I tried it, it was fun. I liked it. Although after coming in the finish line, I had an accident. My right leg was sprained because I did wrong landing. I couldn’t walk well. My friends helped me to walk by supporting my arms.

When we returned to our home, we passed that way well. My friend brought me to my house safely. Then I told my parents the accident in Umbul Sidomukti. They just advised me to be more careful

My Dreams Come True

Over my lifetime I would like to reach many good things. They are not only good for me, but also for the others. I like making everybody happy with what I do. I’ll become an useful person for the others. For that reasons, I decide to be a good English teacher, to build my own school, charitable institution, and nursing home. It’s very useful, isn’t it?

First of all, I want to be a good English teacher. It’s why I choose English Education Study Program in Sanata Dharma University. I would need four years of University to attain my education degree. I should graduate from English Education Study Program with good GPA to join the best school as an English teacher. I prefer English teacher of junior high school than the others. Because I think it’s fun to teach teenagers at junior high school.

After becoming a n English teacher of junior high school, I built my own house. My family’s house isn’t too big and small. I want to have the house which I build from my earning. I want to bring happiness for my family. We can design our own house as beautiful as we can. I will build my house in the good environment. It’s near the river, field, mountain, and etc. it’s also far from the highway, factory, and etc. It should be in the village. What a nice house?

Then I will build my own school. There are early childhood education, kindergarten, elementary school, junior high school, senior high school, even a university. I need to save my earning to realize it. I will invite my friends to join this project. It can facilitate the burdens. The location isn’t too far from my house. It will make good learning situation for the students. I think it will be favorite school.

And the last, I will build charitable institution and nursing home. I often see many children and elders are muffed by their family. It’s sad things. I need same things which I do to build the school. My friends will help me to realize that dreams. I wish it will be done.

I believe I can achieve it. I will pray and pray and do the best as I can. So, my dreams come true soon.

My Sunday Activities

On Sunday, I usually have interesting activities than the other days. I can do everything in this day, because I don’t have to go to the campus. It’s why I like Sunday, especially when I come back to my hometown, Ambarawa. As you have known, I live in a boarding house in Jogja now. I have many delightful activities in Sunday.

On Sunday morning, I usually wake up at 6.00 a.m. My younger sister, Nila is woken up by myself. We are sleeping together in a bedroom. We tidy up our bedroom before we tidy up the house. If we open the window, we can see many birds above the trees behind our house. The leaves are rustling and the birds is whistling. It’s nice sound, isn’t it? Then we go outside of our bedroom to tidy up our house with my parents. We cooperate each other. At 7.30 a.m. my mother prepare the breakfast for us. At that time, I take a bath while my sisters (Nila and Andra) are playing with our dog, Kindy. After taking a bath, I help my mother to cook the breakfast. When my sisters are taking a bath, Kindy must go back to her stable. When all of us finish to tidy up our house and our body, we have a breakfast together.

At 8.55 a.m. we go to the church. The church isn’t too far from our house. It’s about 2 kilometers from our house. The matins starts at 9.00 a.m. We can praise and worship our God together with other congregations. We usually have some guests from other church or regions. The matins finishes at 11.00 a.m. Especially for the first

Sunday in every month, we finish at 11.30 a.m. because we have holy communion. My family come back to our house without me. Because I usually gather with Joel Generation Community, the community of my church’s youth. We can do some activities for 30 minutes and then we do our duties. The duties are different from a person with other person. that duties are connected with church services. It’s depend on our division. I hold the tambourine division, so I learn about tambourine. Sometimes, we must teach our juniors about tambourine or we can learn new tambourine dance movements. I finish it at 1.00 p.m. Then I go home.

When I arrived at home, we are ready to eat our lunch. My mother cook it with love. After having a lunch, I take a rest for a moment. Then I must prepare everything to be brought to Jogja. It’s the saddest time which I have. I must leave my home to reach my dreams in Jogja. But it’ s never mind. I must depart to Jogja at 2.00 p.m. I usually go back to Jogja by bus. Sometimes I go with my cousin by motorcycle or car. About 4.00 p.m. I arrive in Jogja and take a rest awhile. At 5.00 p.m. I take a bath. Then I prepare the assignments if I have assignments. If I don’t have any assignment, I can online or do other activities. If I get sleepy, I sleep in my boarding house room.

Yeah, I think that’s all about my Sunday activities.

What A Delicious Menu !

I love my mother's cooking so much. Because she cook it with love. She loves cooking many kinds of food and drink. When I go home, we usually cook something together. Now I want to tell you about how to make Apple Sauce Banana Muffins and Lime Sherbet. They are very delicious.

I'm going to explain you about making Apple Sauce Banana. First of all, we must prepare the equipments. They are 2 bowls, 2 whisk, a muffin pan, an oven, a plate, and a spoon. Now, we must prepare the ingredient, before we cook it. For the muffins, we need a little butter, 2 cups whole wheat flour, 0.5 cup sugar, 2 teaspoons baking powder, a teaspoon baking soda, 0.25 teaspoon cinnamon, 0.25 teaspoon salt, 0.75 cup mashed bananas, 0.5 cup unsweetened apple sauce, 0.33 cup vegetable oil, 0.25 cup oatmeal (optional), and 0.25 cup chopped walnuts or pecans(optional). For the topping, we need 2 tablespoons sugar, 2 tablespoons cinnamon, and a teaspoon nutmeg. It must be complete. We can't miss any ingredients (except the oatmeal and chopped walnuts and pecans) because it can change the taste.

After preparing the ingredients, we must preheat the oven to 350 degrees Fahrenheit (it's about 177 degrees Celcious). Then, we mix the flour, baking soda, baking powder, cinnamon, salt,and sugar together in a bowl. Next, we mix the banana, apple sauce, and oil in the separate bowl. Then, we mix the dry ingredients into the wet ingredients. Before putting it into the muffin pan, we must spray our muffin pan with non-stick spray. After that, we can put enough dough to fill the muffin pan 3/4 of the way. If we like, we can sprinkle the oatmeal and chopped walnuts or pecans above the muffin before baking it. Next, we bake it for 12 to 15 minutes. While we are baking, we mix the sugar, cinnamon and nutmeg for the topping. After baking, we can sprinkle the topping to the baked muffin. Finally, we must bake it again for 3 to 5 minutes. We can serve it in the plate. It's easy, right?

I think it's not enough if we eat it without any beverage. Okay, let's make Lime Sherbet. Firstly, we prepare the equipments. They are some glasses, a knife, a filter, a freezer, a pan. and a stove For the ingredients, we need 8 limes, a cup raspberry vinegar, 2 cups pulverized sugar, 0.5 cup grated coconut, ice tea, 3 sliced oranges, 2 stiffly whipped egg whites., 2 quarts of water, and a quart of sugar. This ingredients is fewer than Apple sauce banana, but it's also delicious.

How to make this lime sherbet? It's simple. We can start it with squeezing 4 limes and set aside the rinds and we filter it into the glass. Second, we must strain the lime juice and then we add the raspberry vinegar, pulverized sugar, and coconut. Third, we cover it and we place it in the freezer for two hours. Forth, we add the frozen mixture to a cup of ice tea. Fifth, we add 3 sliced orange and 2 stiffly whipped egg whites. Next, we prepare the lime syrup by boiling 2 quarts of water with one quart of sugar for 20 minutes. Then, we add the juice and grated rind from the other 4 limes. The last, we remove the heat and when thoroughly chilled we must add it to the rest. This process is too long but the delicacy make us forgetting that long process.

That's complete now. I suggest you to try making it. The ingredients can be got easily. The manner is very easy too. If you want to make it, you won't regret. Because the delicacy can satisfy you.

My Favorite Lecturer

Hi... :D At this time, I want to share with you about my favorite lecturer in English Education Study Program. Who is this person? Hmm,,,try to guess it, guys! Hahahaha...







What does this person look like? Of course, this person has nice appearance physically. This person has an average built and a medium height. It means that this person isn't too tall or short and this person isn't too slim or plump. This person is oval-faced. This person also has slanted eyes. The eyebrows are wide but thin. Beside that, this person has a broad nose. I can see a charming smile in this person's full lips. Inside this person's mouth, I can see healthy teeth. Beside that, this person has no chubby cheeks. Does this person have a dimple or a pair of dimples? No, she/he doesn't. This person doesn't have a dimple even a pair of dimples. But this person has small mole in this person's left cheek. This person doesn't have moustache and beard. I will imagine if this person has moustache under this person's nose and also beard in this person's chin. Hahahaha :D Is this person become more handsome or not too beautiful? Hahaha :D What about this person's hair? This person has straight black hair. It is also shiny and healthy hair. There is no colored hair or highlight hair. It is also no fringe. Moreover, this person has smooth and light skin. This person has lovely figure with rather thick waist, small hips, and nice shapely legs. Is this person beautiful or handsome? This person chooses simple way in the fashion style. This person always wears elegant clothes although it is only a shirt and trousers. This person's clothes are usually dressy and skimpy. We can see that this person's clothes are very suitable for formal occasions with little material. On the other word, it is called close-fitting style. This person never wears the glasses. This person always wears a pair of earrings in this person's ears, a silver necklace round this person's neck, and a bracelet or watch on this person's right wrist. This person's style is very simple but nice.







I'm interested in this person's personality. How is this person's personality? This person is an attractive person. Therefore, this person is also friendly with all of the students. About the knowledge, this person is broadminded, brainy, and intelligent person. Hmmm, of course that this person is clever. This person is not only very imaginative, but also creative. This person has special way in teaching lectures. Beside that, this person is a relaxed and a cheerful person. This person is kind, because this person always says hello or just smiles widely if this person is meeting with the students. In my opinion, it makes this person very good looking.







I have this person's personal data although it is a little information about this person. This person was born at January 22nd, 1986. Now this person is 24 years old. This person lives in Keparakan Kidul MG I/1275 Yogyakarta. In addition, this person is single, has never married with anyone. This person's religion is Catholic. This person likes shopping, playing badminton, hanging out with friends, and watching cinemas (especially Korean series, Heroes, Supernatural, National Treasure, and Transformer). This person also loves pop, slow rock, jazz, and R&B genre music. Beside that, this person also likes reading the books, such as : The Da Vinci Code, 7 Habits, Harry Potter series, and Twilight Saga. My Favorite Place in Sanata Dharma University

Do you have a favorite place in Sanata Dharma University? I have a favorite place in Sanata Dharma University. It is ____________ (guess it, friend!). I like that place because its air is very fresh. I can keep my body from the hot air and the rain there. Beside that, there are many kinds of food in some kiosks, such as : Bakso Dab Supri, Lotek Mbak Yuli, MS Canteen, Pelangi Canteen, Kopma, and etc. That place has some brown chairs and tables. I can sit down in the chair that is prepared there. I usually eat meatball while I enjoy the cool air. Hmm, yummy :} The smell of that place is very fragnant. Because I can smell the food aroma. But sometimes I must smell bad aroma because that place is full of cigarette smoke. Huuuuhhh. That place is usually crowded by Sanata Dharma University.

What about the location? It is located near a football field. It is beside Realino stage. In the back of this place is a small garden. Above this place, there is some UKM rooms. If you wanna go there by motorcycle, you can park your motorcycle in the parking lot or in front of that place.

My Beloved Handphone

Something that I love so much? Hmmm, it’s my beloved handphone. It’s Nokia 6120 Classic. I got it from my parents when I was in senior high school, exactly it was in May 2008. That handphone belonged to me almost 2 years. It becomes a rather old handphone now. hahaha. . . :D

It is a beautiful handphone for me. In the first time, I was interested because of Nokia 6120 Classic’s appearance. Although that handphone has no smell. It is black-silver-colored handphone. In the front side of the handphone, there are a second camera lens, a sound hole, a screen (which has 16 millions true color, 320x240 pixels and the width is 2 inches), and 19 keypads (consist of menu key, option key, going back key, calling key. Ending call key, clear key, navigator key, and 12 number and alphabet keys). Unlike the front side, the backside is simpler. It only has a camera flash, a main camera lens, and a place to put a battery and a sim card. It also has a speaker, a microSD slot, and a string hole in the left side. In the opposite side, it has a volume key and a camera key. A power key is put in the top side. The bottom side of this handphone has 3 holes. There are a mini USB socket, a headset socket, and a charger socket. It’s simple but complete handphone.

This handphone has some practice multifunction keys and equipments that make me can do something quicker. For the examples, a power key, a going back key, a number 0 key, a menu key, and a microSD slot can help me doing something quickly. Beside switching on and off, this power key can show my profile list, so I can change my profile quickly. Then I must press this key to remove my microSD safely. By pressing and holding the going back key, I can go to voice command directly. It makes me to search contact or application only by saying the complete name of the contact or application what I mean correctly. There is an internet shortcut, by pressing and holding. If I want to open some applications without close the other application, I press and hold a menu key. After I open the other application and I want to go back to the first application, I just do the same thing in a menu key. The microSd slot allow me to remove or set the microSD (memory card) without switch off the handphone. To remove, press a power key and select remove memory card option. Then open the microSD slot, remove it. If I want to set my microSD, I just open the microSD slot and enter the microSD to microSD slot. It’s practice, isn’t it?

The best features are served in my handphone, such as : multimedia, connectivity, browsing, and messaging feature. The multimedia feature has some supported media, such as : Music Player that can play some kinds of sound format file, Visual Radio, 3G service, streaming video, various ringtones and good quality images and video. For the connectivity, it uses Bluetooth version 2.0, mini USB with high speed, and Nokia PC Suite. We can browse by Web menu that is completed with OMA (Open Mobile Alliance) and DRM (Digital Rights Management) version 2.0 to download safe contents. In addition, the browsing speed is up to 384 kbit/second. The messaging features consist of SMS, MMS, Email, Instant Messaging, and Text-to-speech. we can capture many pictures with a main camera lens which has 2 megapixels quality or a second camera lens which is still CIF+ quality. The video recorder will capture my video with QVGA quality. The additional features are Push to Talk, Office application, Adobe PDF, and etc. This handphone supports many complete features.

Nokia 6120 Classic has some superiorities and weakness. The superiorities are small-sized handphone, light weight, good camera and video resolution, speed browsing access, can be a good modem, has many entertainment features, and etc. the weakness are no Infrared, the camera isn’t autofocus, and etc. I think that superiorities can cover that weakness.

My handphone has many functions for me. Especially, it can connect me with my family and my friends by send SMS, phone, chat, online in the social network, or etc. beside that, it also allow me to save some files, such as : image, sound, video, and other files. It also give me entertainment when I’m boring.

Hi ! Let me to introduce my self. My name is Sonia Niken Permatasari. That name has special meaning for me and my parents who gave that name for me. Sonia is wisdom, taken from Romanian. Niken is the victory of people, taken from French. Permatasari is the essence of jewel, original from Indonesian. My friends usually call me Sonia. A few of my friends also call me Niken.

I was born in Semarang at June 30th, 1991. Now I am 18 years old. I have two beautiful sisters and a handsome brother. I live in Ambarawa. But now I live in Jogja to continue my study in English Education Study Program Sanata Dharma University. I’m a Christian.

It's about my personal appearance. I’m a rather plump and shortish girl. I have oval face and long wavy hair. I also have a pointed nose and round black eyes. I’m a hard working and optimistic person. Nevertheless, I’m a timid girl. I am a stubborn girl but I like cooperation with everyone. I’m also a modest, punctual, and flexible person. I don’t like delays. You can share everything with me. If you want to keep your secret with me, I can keep your secret. Because I’m a trusting girl. In addition, I’m a friendly girl. I can be friend for everyone.

I have some hobbies. The most favorite hobby is hanging out with my friends. I like listening to music. I love My Chemical Romance, Secondhand Serenade and Paramore very much. I also like watching to movie. I like every movie, except action movie. I also like photo editing and planting flowers in the garden.
